An End-of-Life Doula (also called a Death Doula) is a compassionate, non-medical service professional who supports individuals and families through the dying process. We provide emotional, spiritual, and practical guidance before, during, and after death. Helping to bring comfort, understanding, and peace during this deeply personal time. An end-of-life doula may: • Offer a calm, supportive presence for the person nearing death and their loved ones • Help explore personal wishes, legacy projects, and meaningful rituals • Provide education about what to expect in the natural dying process • Assist with creating a sacred, peaceful environment • Support caregivers and family members with emotional resources and mindfulness practices • Offer grief support and closure after death • Assist in developing advanced care directives and act as a liaison for clients • Act as a non judgmental neutral party during moments high emotional stress within family dynamics

It acknowledges that trauma impacts the body and nervous system, so sessions are adapted to avoid re-traumatization. How is this different from regular Reiki? While traditional Reiki follows set hand positions and protocols, trauma informed Reiki: • Starts with informed consent (detailed discussion of the process) • Offers non-touch options (energy work without physical contact) • Avoids assumptions (e.g., never presumes touch is welcome) • Centers your autonomy (you guide adjustments in real-time) Do I need to share my trauma history? Absolutely not. You’re never required to disclose personal details. Trauma-informed practice respects your privacy. We work with your present moment needs, not your past story. What if I feel overwhelmed during a session? Your practitioner will: • Pause immediately • Offer grounding techniques (e.g., breathwork, opening eyes) • Adjust or end the session based on your cues Your safety > “completing” the session. Is there a cost? No. All initial consultations are free and obligation-free. If my services aren’t the right fit, I’ll offer referrals. Do I need to prepare anything? Just bring your presence. No forms, diagnoses, or spiritual résumés needed. We meet you exactly as you are. Whether you’re weary, curious, heartbroken, or seeking peace. What if I’m supporting someone who’s dying? Can I consult for them? Yes. Family members, caregivers, or loved ones may consult on behalf of a dying person, with their awareness and consent (when possible). We’ll discuss: • Their known wishes or values • How to honor their unique journey • Your own emotional and spiritual needs as a supporter What if I change my mind during or after the consultation? Your autonomy is sacred. You can: • Pause or reschedule • Decline services with zero explanation • Request a different approach No guilt. No pressure. Only respect. How do you honor diverse beliefs (or no beliefs)? My guidance is non-denominational and client led. Whether you’re spiritual, religious, agnostic, or secular, we’ll use language and rituals that resonate with your experience. Or none at all. Is everything confidential? Yes. All conversations are held in strict confidence, except in rare cases of imminent harm (as required by law). Notes are minimal, secure, and destroyed upon request.
